Technically I took this on January 14th (12:43AM), but I haven't gone to bed yet so it doesn't count :-) Since a few people have asked, here's what it is and how it is lit: It's an old spring about 1 1/2" long on a piece of scrapbooking paper. It's lit by one of those LED flashlights held off to the side with my right hand as I had the cable release in the left. The scrapbooking paper makes for great backdrops when doing macro work. You can get several sheets in a sample pack at WalMart, Hobby Lobby, etc for really cheap. There are interesting colors and faux textures that really add visual interest. And I LOVE my Zuiko ED 50mm f2.0 Macro. Sharp as a tack with narrow DOF. Also works as a great portrait lens, too.
