1. Photo A Day

PAD January, 2007

My New Year's Resolution for 2007 - a Photo a Day.

When I used to frequent PBase, I kept this up for more than a year. I found it to be not only very rewarding, but an excellent way to spawn creativity and "keep my chops up".

And as I've said before, if I can get three or four PADs up here in a week, I'll consider that an accomplishment.

Now, on for the first month's installment...

This misery leaves me lonely and it holds me in
This misery is a shell from which behind I grin
And when my feelings cut me down so deep inside
I run with my shield and hide

These little babies are supposed to help. Sometimes they don't do the best job...

(Sorry to be so depressing tonight. It's been rough lately.)

A few from my collection...

I'm one of those crazy folks that still has hundreds of vinyl on my shelves. When you have a good turntable and a clean record, it just sounds a touch warmer. Particularly the jazz stuff.

I also miss the big sleeves :-)

This is my 13 year old daughter Emily who begrudgingly agreed to pose for me tonight. Although she has that glare, she really is a sweetie.

But then again, what do you expect out of teenage girls?

OK, it's much more of a snapshot than my usual, but he was so kind enough to pose. He actually sat completely still while I took this. I was able to even drag the shutter a bit on this one!

In case anyone's interested, his name is Orion and he's a Parson Jack Russel who just turned 2 years old five days ago.

Can someone tell me where their off switch is?
OK. Technically I took this on January 14th (12:43AM), but I haven't gone to bed yet so it doesn't count :-)

Since a few people have asked, here's what it is and how it is lit:

It's an old spring about 1 1/2" long on a piece of scrapbooking paper. It's lit by one of those LED flashlights held off to the side with my right hand as I had the cable release in the left.

The scrapbooking paper makes for great backdrops when doing macro work. You can get several sheets in a sample pack at WalMart, Hobby Lobby, etc for really cheap. There are interesting colors and faux textures that really add visual interest.

And I LOVE my Zuiko ED 50mm f2.0 Macro. Sharp as a tack with narrow DOF. Also works as a great portrait lens, too.

OK. For the first one, I've cheated a bit.
My little nephew Alex, now two years old. He came along as a Christmas present to our family on Christmas Day in 2004 and he's turning in to quite the little pistol.
How to buy motorcycle fairings is cheapest?

I believe that every motorcycle sports enthusiasts have a beloved motorycle bike, it is pretty cool shell publicize their personality, to attract the attention of countless people. The following share with how to replace my Honda fairings and under what circumstances save the most money, but also get the fastest delivery.

We all know that racing season are generally concentrated in January to Apir, this time presumably every bike owners consider replacing the fairing, No matter yours’ suzuki fairings or Yamaha fairings. So that we are almost at the same time to order from factory, because motorcycle fairings made in advance, a sudden surge in factory orders, painting job speed accordingly become very slow. Meanwhile motorcycle fairing is large parcel, for example kawasaki fairing, Ducati fairing, etc, the volume is very large. Freight company is very annoying such goods, they only like heavy and small items. In the case of such a fixed route, they generally first select transporting heavy small items.

Therefore, we should avoid the peak period, select the off-season replacement. For example Triumph fairing. So we do not worry, you can choose a little slower, cheaper shipping methods, very economical, but also can quickly receive the goods!

    Thank you for your time!

Forgive me for interjecting my thoughts...but I don't think prescription drugs are the best way to handle depression. I have gone down that road, and I feel for you. Stay active, and stay in touch with a couple good friends. I chose to use natural things to help me feel better. Good luck
