CanAm Jazz Festival 2006

Held on July 23rd, the CanAm Jazz Festival was hosted by the Holiday Inn in Sarnia, ON, Canada. Musicians from the Blue Water area and beyond gathered to kick off "All That Jazz" - weekly live jazz performances in the lounge of the hotel.

I had the good fortune to be invited to play as well with Quint Essence, a quintet lead by my good friend Charlie Stephens. I met Charlie originally as a bass player. I come to find out later that he started out on trombone. A few months ago he bought a new horn and started arranging for a valve trombone/tenor sax combo and asked me to dust off the horn.

I'm glad he did.

Sorry, but no pictures of me. Maybe next time...
